Maribeth Tabanera
Maribeth Tabanera aka Kilusan (siya/sanda/they/them/theirs) is a Tagalog Visayan filipinx queer non-binary multi-hyphenate artist, abolitionist educator and community organizer. Maribeth's ancestral roots are in San Roque, Navotas, Manila and Tamalagon, Tangalan, Aklan. Kilusan is a chosen Tagalog name that means movement of an individual and/or group. They are a second generation settler on Treaty No. 1 the original lands and waters of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininiwak, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Red River Métis Nation, colonially known as Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
